About SAVS

Saundra Aida Voice Studio (SAVS) was founded in 2014, and has since built a reputation as a highly sought-after space for vocalists of all ages and levels to develop their craft. Saundra works with every kind of singer, from absolute beginners to major-label artists and everyone in between.

Saundra began singing at the age of 4, shortly after taking up piano, and soon finding herself on stages all around the USA performing in solo acts, musical theatre, professional choirs, and more. This love of singing and performing inevitably led her to Berklee College of Music, where she earned her degree in Vocal Performance and Music Education. While at Berklee, she began to tutor her fellow classmates and received recognition, scholarships and awards from the Music Education department.

After completing her degree at Berklee, Saundra moved to Los Angeles in 2014 where she established SAVS. She has since had the pleasure of training and helping to develop singers and artists across all contemporary genres (pop, rock, r&b, funk, jazz, etc), prepared students for successful musical theatre careers, created one-of-a-kind master classes and workshops, and cultivated artistic community through the production and hosting of creative events and performances all over Los Angeles.

Saundra believes that a singer can grow and flourish while studying repertoire about which they are passionate, and with a tailored curriculum any student can learn to sing with the utmost ease, comfort, and power.

In addition to technique and ear training, Saundra focuses on style--how to get the right vocal sound for the genre/character--and performance.

Beyond vocal technique, a large portion of SAVS is focused on artist development. This includes everything from songwriting, production, fundamentals of marketing and branding, and more.

From experience, Saundra knows it's crucial for singers to be able to communicate with  instrumentalists, producers, and engineers by understanding musical concepts and terminology. She integrates music theory heavily into lessons and offers production workshops for singers interested in recording.

Creating a lesson strategy and goals for each students needs, Saundra strives to make an artistic, musical, and human connection with every person with which she has the privilege of working.

Saundra is deeply passionate about and inspired by any and all who wish to sing, whether they have been doing it for years or are just curious.
